If you are new to Sydney or have lived here your entire life, I can’t recommend a trip to Bronte beach enough.
More particularly the beautiful Bronte pool at the southern end of Bronte beach.
And if you can handle an early morning start it get even better at sunrise. With just a little bit of street light hitting the corner of the pool and balancing with the Sydney sunrise, it’s a great spot for a picture or two.

I shot these pictures after an extremely early morning run with just my iPhone. Showing that the location is so good you don’t need a fancy camera to enjoy the photo session.
Bronte pool is possibly the most photographed pool in the country, only rivalled by its more famous neighbour Bondi Icebergs pool. https://chasinglight.photo.blog/2021/10/28/pools-of-the-sea-bondi-icebergs-pool/
But if you are looking for things to do in Sydney, I’d definitely add a trip to the Eastern Suburbs and Bronte pool on the list.
