Sydney City Skyline from the East

I’ve been on a bit of a quest the past few years to find the best view of the Sydney City skyline.

There’s plenty of great locations to see and photograph this great city and one day I’ll find the best.

Today’s view is from the beautiful Eastern Suburbs looking west over the city during sunrise from the high side of Queens Park.

It’s definitely a great view, especially in the early hours like this. It was taken on a pretty chilly winter’s morning around 30 minutes before the sun came up.

The morning hues add a softness to the screen and having a few lights on the buildings make for a great picture.

With the sun coming up behind me, the view is pretty much just front lit, but it would be a great picture via sunset.

So I think for the next one I’ll aim for a sunset view from here and save myself a early wake up. The view itself is pretty awesome as it’s a clear shot of the city skyline and a near perfect looking Sydney Tower right in the middle.

Just classic Sydney and after a few hours after taking this shot I’m only now starting to get the feeling back in my hands.

Note for next time, bring gloves!!

Til next time!

Chris
