Where to find the best view of Sydney Tower

There’s many a great location in Sydney to see the famous Sydney Tower. But one of the best, if not the best is from Blackwattle Bay Park in Glebe.

There’s some great angles all along the foreshore there and slightly to the left is a pretty great view of Sydney’s Anzac Bridge as well. I was lucky enough to photograph these pictures at Sunrise, and from Blackwattle Bay looking towards to City Skyline, with the sun rising in the east it makes for a great sunrise picture too.

The tower itself was completed in 1981 and stands at a crazy 309 meters making it Sydney’s tallest building. It is known by many other names too including Sydney Centrepoint Tower, Westfield Tower and the AMP Tower but it is mainly referred to Sydney Tower these days.

Blackwattle Bay Park is pretty easy to find and to get to, the address is 53 Leichhardt St, Glebe NSW 2037 and on a non busy day you can find parking in the surrounding streets. But on a busy day it might be best to plan ahead and even try public transport.

I’m also on a bit of a quest to find the best angles of the Sydney Skyline, with some great ones from North Sydney and Mrs Macquarie’s Chair here.

It’s definitely a great spot to view the Sydney Tower and if you are looking for some great views of the city it’s well worth a visit to Blackwattle Bay Park.

Til next time!
