Yesterday morning I headed out to one of my favourite places in Sydney, the awesome Blue Mountains.
I thought I’d go chase some waterfalls, as it’s something I’m really focused on at the moment. And hoping to improve my long exposure photography.
No better place to start than the Katoomba Falls. Located just a couple of hundred meters from the Scenic World entrance at Katoomba, and a short 5 minute walk from the carpark.

You can follow the signs to the Falls and if you feel like a longer walk you can keep following the signs til you get to the more famous Three Sisters(about an hours walk from Scenic World)

The path around the Waterfall is quite stunning and as it was a misty morning there were plenty of cool pictures to take around the place.
The Waterfall itself was awesome and one of the best I’ve seen, with a 20 second exposure I was able to capture the running water quite nicely. I used my 10x neutral density filter which allows for a longer exposure in daylight hours and needing a tripod too to keep it steady.
A great place all round and I’ll definitely be back again!

Til next time!
Chris
