Camden and it’s beautiful trees

By far my favorite street to photograph, Camden Valley Way in beautiful Camden, NSW.

Located about an hours drive from the City and in Sydney’s South West lies this awesome row of trees that really comes to life in Autumn. They look great all year round but this time of year is really their time to shine. I’v been working on a longer project where I photograph them over the course of 12 mouths and I’ll post that too once that timeline is done.

But today was a great day to shoot, it’s always hard to time these things when you add in the time of year and some good weather. I think they would have looked even better a week ago but Sydney was in the middle of a storm and today was the first blue sky day since. So I feel it would have been even better then, but due to the wet weather some of the trees had already started to shed their leave ready for winter.

Camden is such a great place, as it’s still in the Sydney area but very much a country town. I always love being there and it’s just a joy to photograph at any time of the year.

But this is my favorite as the Autumn light mixed in with the changing colors of the trees is just too good to miss. So if you are looking for things to photograph and do in Sydney, Camden is well worth adding to the list.

The drive into town is worth it in itself.

Autumn in The Royal National Park

Audley in The Royal National Park in Sydney South is a beautiful location all year round, but at this time of year as the Autumn leaves start to change color it’s even better.

This morning I headed down to see how the landscape is changing as we near the end of April, so it’s interesting to catch as some of the leaves are starting to change color and some are still in the natural green. So it’s probably a little early down there but I’ll keep checking it out over the next few weeks to see how much it changes leading up to winter.

The Royal National Park is my local park so I really enjoy heading there throughout the year and it’s pretty handy being so close to home. You don’t always have that luxury when checking out places that are far away just to see how it’s looking, so I find studying my local parks a good gauge as to what other parks around might look like. And then making a bit of a plan to the next adventure.

It’s definitely a great spot to visit in Sydney and I really recommending a trip out. There is even a awesome cafe at at this spot in Audley and after taking a few pictures it’s a great way to end the tour.

Elizabeth Bay in Beautiful Autumn Light

Awesome morning spent walking the streets of Elizabeth Bay in Sydney, NSW. It’s a part of the City that I haven’t really explored in my time, and I wish I had checked it out earlier.

With so much cool history and awesome art deco buildings that make for some cool pictures, it was a pleasure to walk the streets around Potts Point and parts of Sydney’s Kings Cross. It’s a great spot where there are some cool city streets with some nice history but you can also find some great views of the harbour and the city skyline.

It’s definitely a cool part of Sydney City and well worth exploring and still only a few kilometers from the CBD, so it’s a great spot all round. So if you are looking for a cool place to visit in Sydney or a place to take on a photography tour it’s worth adding to the list.

Til next time!
