Photos: Beautiful Bondi Beach in all its glory.

Living in Sydney it’s pretty awesome to be amongst so many great beaches. None more famous than the beautiful Bondi Beach. From a picture point of view, the long coastline offers up so many great angles and so much variety in just one beach, it’s definitely one of my favorites.

With 2020 having so many challenges, it looks like we could spend the summer locked down in our own cities, so I went through the files and found some of my favorite pictures from the Bondi Coastline. Depending how things all go I might be there a fair bit over the 2020/2021 summer.

Til next time!

Freshwater Beach and early light

Recently I headed north over the bridge to explore the awesome Freshwater beach via sunrise. Located just a few minutes north of the more famous Manly beach, it is a much smaller coastline, but just a pleasure to spend some time there shooting a beautiful sunrise.

There is a high side on the northern end which also is where there is a top car park, so it’s pretty handy and a great angle to get.

But also the southern end has some great spots to explore as well with some cool looking rocks to add to the view.

As the weather starts to warm up, i’ll definitely be back soon to explore more of the beautiful coastline to the north.

Figure 8 Pools in the Royal National Park

Deep in the heart of the Royal National Park in Sydney lies one of my favorite hikes and subjects to photograph.
The Figure 8 Pools can only be seen and accessed during low tide, so if you’re thinking of heading out it’s best to follow the tide via the National Parks website.
There’s a few different ways to access the Pools but this time I headed to Otford and accessed the National Park from there.
Following along the path it’s around an hours hike to the Pools via the Beach at Burning Palms.

There’s plenty to look at and photograph along the way as well as the final destination.
It’s well worth the trip but it is definitely one for the more mobile of hikers as the rocks between Burning Palms beach and the Figure 8 pools can be a little tricky to navigate.
But if you haven’t been I’d recommend it to the list.
