Woronora Dam hits 87% Capacity

Last weeks visit out to the pretty awesome Woronora Dam in Southern Sydney. Located just past Helensburg and just before the start of Wollongong with access just off the Princess Highway NSW. I’v shot a fair few dams in my travels and there is something pretty unique and dam sites.

They have a little bit of a lost world feel to them and always offer up many great opportunity’s for some cool photos and plenty to see and shoot.

As with this one, Woronora Dam it’s pretty rare that you’ll see many other people there even tho they are open to the public. So you really get a free rein to roam and shoot to your hearts delight.

Even better with beautiful Sydney Autumn light and with the recent floods to NSW the damn was up around the 87% mark which is great all round. The Woronora Dam services people from the Sutherland Shire and with the dam at these heights it’s great from the city and locals alike.

So if you are looking for things to do in Sydney, and something a little different, I’d definitely recommend a trip out to the Woronora and to get your camera out and take some pictures. There are plenty of great areas to also stroll around and even have a picnic too.

But as always I’ll have my camera at the ready even if I’m picnicking.

Til next time!

Autumn in The Rocks Part II

I went on a photoshoot a few weeks ago now, in the hope of catching some early Autumn leaves. It was probably a little earlt in the season so I was pretty keen to get back and see what The Rocks in Autumn could do.

With some beautiful light and orange leaves starting to come through it was a awesome mornings photographing and the changing season is just a joy to shoot.

I’ll never get sick of our amazing Sydney City and so many great sights to see and photograph. I’d have to say The Rocks is my favorite place in Sydney with so many great pubs and cafe’s you could easily get lost for a few hours but you’ll enjoy every minute of it. I’ll definitely be back for more again soon, this time of year in Sydney is the best.

If you havn’t been to The Rocks in Sydney you need to add it to the list, and you may even make freinds with the locals like the first shot.

North Sydney and the best views in the City

With yesterday being the first time in a little while that we have seen some blue sky, it felt the right time to do a little bit of wandering around beautiful North Sydney and to do a photo shoot.

Between the historic North Sydney swimming pool and Sydneys Luna Park, mixed in with the Sydney Harbour and the awesome skyline of the CBD. North Sydney is just a great place to do a little bit a adventuring with a camera in hand.

I even managed to spot a rare sighting of Batman along the way.

It’s always great to shoot around our fair city of Sydney, and no better when the sun is shinning.
